I'm convinced each one of us is living in the center of an interesting story, whether we realize it or not.
Did you know your business and its unique culture is bursting with juicy stories for the telling to add to your content? Your clients, customers, employees and friends are brimming with inspiring thoughts and examples about how your business delights them and improves their lives, just ask them.
I once interviewed a woman for a website project and she was convinced she had absolutely nothing interesting to tell me about herself.
As we moved into a spirited conversation she revealed that Elvis had once plucked her from a nightclub audience and whisked her on stage with him to serenade her with a love song. Was she boring? Absolutely not.
A few years ago I met a talented singer/songwriter at a small local venue. I didn't know he was part of a popular indie jam band at the time, so I audaciously asked if he'd want to play acoustic guitar for my singing trio.
I later found out his band sold out gigs at Madison Square Garden and he graciously let me interview and write an article or two about him for print magazines. Talk about a story.
Are you ready? I'll dig deeper into your business story to create bottom-line changing content to clearly show the deep mark you and your business are creating in your industry.
I'll help you increase your reach and gain customers who understand that you really can solve their problems and make their lives better. Now that's a great story.
What I'm doing when I'm not writing:
“Among all the things we don’t control, we do have some control over our stories. We do have a conscious say in selecting the narrative we will use to make sense of the world. Individual responsibility is the act of selecting and constantly revising the master narrative we tell about ourselves.”
- David Brooks, from The New York Times
“I am concerned with a certain way of looking at life, which was created in me by the fairy tales, but has since been ratified by the mere facts.”
- G.K. Chesterton
